The walls between the kitchen, living room and hallway were demoed to open up the small floorplan.
A LITTLE DIY…
Hanging Pegboard
I built this hanging pegboard to act as a screen for the washer/dryer and extra storage for the powder room/laundry room. The pegboard now stores cleaning tools and toilet paper.
Floating Shelves
I used cascade iron J brackets to hold up these knotty pine boards that I sanded and stained. I wanted floating shelves for easy access putting dishes away from the dishwasher located below them and to display my handmade ceramics.
Recycled Teak Shower and Concrete Pavers
I built this shower enclosure out of old teak decking that I got from a project that was throwing it away. I also laid a grid of 30 concrete pavers with mini flat stones in between them.
Recycled Teak Bench
I built this recycled teak bench from the same old decking as the shower to complete the modern backyard.
